Ten-Year Dedication to Technical Excellence, Building a New Peak in Product Portfolio

 

Shenyang Cell Center (or SYCC) was founded in June 2016 with support from local government and China Medical University.Over the past decade,it has grown into a core benchmark for the cell industry in Northeast China.

Focused on cell‑technology innovation, guided by clinical requirements and  driven by regional development responsibilities,the company has stepped out of a solid road of high-quality development with support from governments, industry peers and partners.

 

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, we have specially planned this report to review the ten-year journey of Shenyang Cell Center.

 

2016：Establish the Company and Lay the Foundation

　　

Shenyang Cell Therapy Engineering Technology R&D Center Co., Ltd. (or SYCC), was founded in June 2016 by Professor Yanqiu Yu of China Medical University. It is a national high-tech enterprise located in Hunnan District, Shenyang, with support from the university and local government.

 In the same year, the company constructed a 2,300 m² GMP laboratory and laid a solid foundation for its subsequent R&D and product translation, sowing a seed of cell industry in Northeast China.

 

 

2017：Launch Services and Achieve Initial Progress

 

In 2017, SYCC officially launched cell storage and preparation services, translating lab‑based cell technology into industrial‑scale applications.The company published two papers about ADSCs in Mol Med Rep and participated in writing Adipose‑Derived Stem Cells.The same year,SYCC obtained three utility-model patents ——，which drove progress in technical theory system and intellectual property layout.

 

 

2018：Make Progress in Patents and Advance Academic

 

In 2018,SYCC achieved significant progress in core patents areas,marking a major leap in original technical capacity.The company also obtained a utility-model patent in the same year.In the academic field,the company published a paper focusing on stem‑cell applications in anti‑aging and age‑related diseases in Adv Exp Med Biol.This raised its international academic profile.

 

 

2019: Accelerate the products,expand the patents

 

SYCC accelerated the process of technology production in 2019: the self-developed skin repair products obtained approval ,and the first cell‑technology derivative was officially launched on the market.Shenyang Huizhi Cell Industry Technology Innovation Research Institute was established as a specialized R&D and translation platform.The same year,SYCC obtained two additional invention patents and edited the monograph Clinical Study on Cell Therapy,strengthening its industrial and academic influence.

 

 

2020:Reagents come into market,harvest in R&D and Production

 

In 2020, SYCC’s self‑developed cell reagent entered the market,and its product line expanded from single cell storage service to cell reagents and consumables.One invention patent and two utility-model patents were granted,with the IP system covering the full chain of cell preparation, storage and application.

 

2021: Multiple New Products & Maturing Product Matrix

 

    SYCC obtained products approval period intensively in 2021,with four cell reagent products entered the market.In terms of academic achievement,a paper was published in Stem Cell Res Ther,focusing on primary cell and MSC conditioned medium research.SYCC edited Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells the same year.And two more utility-model patents were granted, innovation capacity continued to improve.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

 

 

2022: Cutting‑Edge R&D & Patent Accumulation

 

In 2022, SYCC filed application documents for its self‑developed trauma‑regeneration product, extending its product portfolio into regenerative medicine.One invention patent and two utility‑model patents were granted, building patent barriers for cell culture equipment and clinical application technologies.

 

 

2023:Breakthrough Regenerative Medical Research and Iterate Products

 

In 2023,the company consistently expanded cell reagents portfolio, with one additional cell reagent obtained market approval.In terms of academic achievements,SYCC published a paper in Materials & Design and put forward novel ideas,earning international recognition for its regenerative medical research.One more utility‑model patent was granted, further advancing the company’s technical system.

 

 

2024:Layout of Medical Devices and Brand Building

 

2024 marked the upgrade of SYCC’s production capacity.Six Class‑III medical devices completed R&D work,marking a leap in technical and regulatory capabilities.Yahui Jiao , Director‑General of the Medical Administration Department of the National Health Commission, visited the company to inspect its regional cell technology service platform model.In terms of brand building,the company successfully registered enterprise trademarks【SYCC】, academic meeting trademark【Mozi Mountain】and【Mozi Mountain Forum】.Two invention patents and four utility-model patents were granted,covering multiple process links.The system of Intellectual property rights was further improved.The same year,SYCC contributed to the book Cell Therapy Theory and Practice,which promoted its industrial and academic influence.

 

 

2025: National‑Scale Expansion & Multiple Research Output

 

SYCC expanded into the Yangtze‑River Delta and established Hangzhou Cell Therapy Engineering Technology R&D Center Co., Ltd. in 2025,making an important step in national layout.The company obtained a cosmetic product with NMPA cosmetic filing,extending its product scope from medical application to consumer health. Three utility-model patents were granted.

 

 

2026: Top‑Journal Publications & New Research Heights

 

In 2026, SYCC published high‑impact papers in top international journals Briefings in Bioinformatics and Neuron, climbing to a new peak of R&D strength.One invention patent was granted, generating substantial impact for its technological products.

 

Over the decade, SYCC has developed from offering basic cell storage and preparation services to covering multiple categories of medical devices, cell reagents and cosmetic products. The intellectual property portfolio includes more than ten invention patents ,over twenty utility‑model patents ,and multiple industry monographs. SYCC has built a complete innovation chain spanning from fundamental research to product commercialization.　　

 

Ten years of craftsmanship and R&D have brought SYCC to new heights in product development.Standing at the new starting point of its ten‑year anniversary and guided by clinical demands, SYCC will strengthen the development of core technologies and high‑end products to further enrich its cell‑technology product portfolio.
